Strong, durable, and stable, micarta is one of the most popular materials for knife handles, as it provides exceptional grip in all environments, and a cool, unique look. These rings provide a contemporary style upgrade for your every day carry. This particular micarta is homemade material made out of finely woven polyester fabric and epoxy resin, giving it a unique visual vibe and high durability. It is waterproof, shock, and chemical resistant, so it will not react with your skin or common household cleaners and solvents. Whether you're looking for that perfect work wedding ring, a wearable EDC worry stone, or just a piece of functional art, this durable wedding band replacement is the perfect option.
Each ring is made to order, and no two rings will look exactly alike. Due to the nature of the synthetic fabric and tight weave, these rings will have a light fuzziness to them.
The bare micarta will come quite light in color, and will darken and patina over time with wear, producing a nice vibrance to the color. You can also hasten the process by rubbing a few drops of mineral oil into the ring and washing it back off with dish soap! If it ever starts looking dark or faded, a quick dish soap wash will bring it back to life. Compliment your everyday carry knife with a ring to patina along with it!
The acrylic-finished rings will stay a darker color overall, with a nice, glossy shine. The acrylic finish will be susceptible to damage from strong solvents such as acetone, so avoid working with them while wearing, or go with a bare band!
While the plain micarta is plenty strong a durable, you can kick that up a notch with the addition of a ring core. The default option for cores will be a 6mm black ceramic band, but 8mm bands and other materials are also available in limited quantities, please reach out via message to discuss those options!
