A member of the cashew family, Chechen wood's density, gorgeous coloration, and natural luster have earned it the nickname "Caribbean Rosewood". Burled wood can have some incredible grain structures, and this piece even had a little bit of spalting! It has been sealed and stabilized with CA, and the cap is fully sleeved with DiamondCast.


DiamondCast® is a patented (Patent #12,005,614) material made with a urethane resin, designed for McKenzie Penworks,and a combination of real, green quality diamond and various pigments. It is mixed in a state of the art mixer that removes air from the mix and all blanks are heat cured for maximum strength.
